Carpet installers showed up as scheduled and knocked it out in about 1.5 hours. I kinda figured it would be impossible for them to do one continuous run so there would be no break in the pattern and that’s how it ended up. They still did a good job keeping things lined up and in the end the result is awesome! I’ll let the pics speak for themselves.
Next up will be getting the velvet on the side walls up front, baseboards, and building a couple of subwoofer enclosures. I was going to go with one of the avsforum favorites, the MartyCube, with an 18″ sub. But a friend of mine reminded me he has a stash of higher end 10″ subs from a previous carrer and assures me four of those would put an 18″ to shame. Two enclosures are mostly spec’d out, I’ll start making some MDF dust in the next week or two. Until then, going to have to relocate the 1990’s era powered sub from the TV upstairs. 🙂
